About this book
Short Poetry Collection 121 by Various delivers a lively, pocket-sized tour of short poems that spark reflection, laughter, and quiet awe. Read by LibriVox volunteers in June 2013, this poetry audiobook gathers brief works from a variety of eras and voices, showcasing the range and immediacy of short-form verse.
Within its compact runtime you’ll find poems that explore love, nature, time, mortality, and whimsy—each piece chosen for its clarity and emotional impact. The recordings highlight the joy of spoken poetry: varied narrators bring different rhythms, tones, and interpretations to classic and lesser-known public-domain texts, letting the listener focus on language and feeling rather than length. The collection’s historical context—community-driven recordings from 2013—gives it a homespun, archival charm that complements the timeless themes.
Ideal for commuters, students, bedtime listening, or anyone wanting a quick poetry fix, Short Poetry Collection 121 is perfect for newcomers to the genre and seasoned verse lovers alike. Press play to discover short poems that linger long after the last line.
